Industry Leader LSI Logic
NCR's 6289 models feature the performance, reliability and dependability necessary for
maximized Teradata database operation. Highly integrated with NCR WorldMark servers, these
enterprise storage solutions are a key component of the highly-orchestrated, massively parallel
processing system designed to deliver superior performance under the rigorous demands of data
warehousing.
6289 Models, available for Windows2000 applications, can be configured with up to two Quad
Modular Disk Arrays, each featuring:
- Dual, hot-swappable, redundant fibre channel controllers with either 128MB or
256MB of cache.
- A quad fibre channel host adapter that enables high-performance 1GB per second,
point-to-point connectivity between processing node and disk array.
- Four fibre channel drive interfaces (1GB/second each) to the drives.
- Up to 40 hot swappable, dual ported, fibre channel 18GB/15k or 36GB 15k disk drives.
Each Model 6289 is equipped with a server management sub-system that enables control and
proactive monitoring of essential components through a single, central location via the
Administrative Workstation. Uninterruptible power supplies stand ready to maintain critical
availability to vital storage components in the event of A/C power loss.
