NCR 6285 Storage Cabinet

20 (or 40) drive bays per 6285. 9GB, 18GB or 36 GB 10K RPM hot plug disk drives. Dual RAID controllers (32 MB or 128MB).  Up to 80 drive bays in the NCR Rack Storage Cabinet.

The NCR Storage Cabinet (NSC) leverages the standard NCR WorldMark cabinet design to support NCR Scalable Data Warehouse (SDW) and High Availability Electronic Commerce (HAEC) solutions. The NSC supports rack mountable storage products developed in conjunction with NCR OEM partners, including the NCR Modular Array and robotic tape libraries. The high density of storage available in the NSC makes efficient use of your precious floor space The NSC provides the highest availability redundant AC power options to support customer environments that require maximum uptime. The NSC is tightly integrated with NCR WorldMark Enterprise Servers through the Administrative Workstation (AWS) to provide a single operational view of the system and a single control point.
